It is a sad person who feels the need to destroy beauty. Today I found 5 uprooted plants in a long garden bed along the side of my yard, next to the sidewalk. Five were dianthus, and one was a rose. The dianthus were too far gone - but I was able to salvage the rose.
Well, heck - I'm going to go back out and put the dianthus in the ground as well, and douse it with a root stimulant. Who knows - maybe they will bounce back as well.
